Commissioning in Washington, DC
Bath Commissioning Corporation has been selected to coordinate the retro-commissioning of four government buildings in the Washington, DC area. They buildings have a combined area of approximately 2.5 million square feet.
- The FBI Washington Field Office is an eight-story, reinforced concrete building providing 750,000 gross square feet.
- The national headquarters of the Department of Education is an eight-story structure having 640,332 gross square feet.
- The Wilbur J. Cohen Building houses the International Broadcasting Board of Governors and the Department of Health and Human Services. It is a six-story building with 1,201,918 gross square feet.
- The Martin VB Bostetter Courthouse in Alexandria, VA provides space for the U.S Bankruptcy Court. It has 64,097 gross square feet.
This project is funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Federal Stimulus program). Bath is also working on several other ARRA funded commissioning projects throughout the United States. The goal of these projects is to reduce energy consumption and improve occupant comfort.
