IT Data Center

Rice University selected Bath Commissioning Corporation to commission its $20 million  Data Center which serves as the university’s information technology network core.

The systems commissioned included under-floor air distribution computer room units, chilled water systems, air handling systems,  building automation systems, IT networks, security and intrusion systems, electrical emergency power systems including a UPS and three 2-megawatt generators.

The Data Center uses a N+1 system to assure at least double redundancy of each component, subsystem, and system.  This extends all the way to electrical feeds to the CRAC units (computer room air conditioning units that supply air to the pressurized floor plenum).
