Wastewater Plant

Bath Engineering Corporation designed electrical, mechanical, and automation systems for the expansion of the Greenwood WWTP in Corpus Christi, Texas.  The capacity of the station was increased to 8 MGD. 

The design included the demolition of several treatment units and the construction a fiber optic communications network with new PLC’s, UPS backup, computers, and graphical MMI for monitoring, control, alarms, and data acquisition.  The scope also included the sludge dewatering building, dissolved air flotation thickener, 15 sludge pumps, W.A.S. pumps, gas compressors, and a primary clarifier.  Other features included an ultra-violet disinfection unit, automatic backwash filter units, an odor control unit, and a bar screen.  The system was designed for connection to a future SCADA system.
