Richard Pittman, P.E.

After graduating from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Richard joined Central Power & Light Co.  

In 1974, Richard accepted Ken Bath's invitation to move into the consulting field. As he gained experience, he was assigned ever more complex technical assignments. Eventually, he moved into management and held the position of President of Bath Engineering Corporation, now he is the Sr. Principal.

Richard has designed low, medium, and high voltage power systems cumulatively valued at over $900 million in terms of construction cost. He is a recognized expert on NEC and NFPA codes. He frequently serves as a lecturer to other design professionals on the topic of "producing quality in design."

He is licensed as a professional engineer in Texas.

Richard is very active in community affairs. He was elected to the Flour Bluff Independent School District Board in 1999 and served as President of the Board from 2003 to 2011 and again from 2013 to 2015. Richard is a past President of the South Texas Council of Engineering Companies and is an active member of several other professional societies. He is also the President of the Beautify Corpus Christi Association, which is an integral part of the Mayor's clean cities program.

Richard is the author of Bath's design guide book, "How to Produce a Quality Product".
