Power Control Rooms 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12

At PCR 1, Bath added generators, upgraded generator controls, and upgraded relays on the Main-Tie-Main. Bath also installed a power system monitor SCADA system which reports the to plant operator control systems.

During a project onsite, Bath re-purposed PCR 2 and PCR 3 motor starters. This reduced the project cost by over $1.5MM by eliminating the need to install an additional PCR and diversified the loads into two sources to improve radiality.

Bath provided detailed design for the reconfiguration of the 5kV distribution systems throughout the plant to improve reliability and redundancy. This included the design of PCR (Power Control Room) 7, 8, and 9 into a loop configuration.

PCR 10 was designed to improve power reliability at the Nueces Pump Station with backup generation and two sources from AEP.

PCR 11 and 12 are projects that are currently in construction. These two substations will add power for the front-end chemical feeds and raw water area, along with the new chlorine generation facilities.
