Gas Fractionation Plant 480V Substation

Bath Group provided the design and engineering services for a new $3.9MM Gas Fractionation Plant 480V Substation.

The 480V Substation was designed to support all off-site loads for (4) four gas trains and included low voltage and medium voltage distribution. The design included MV outdoor switchgear with underground duct banks for MV power distribution to LV 12.47KV / 480V 3000KVA LV transformers feeding a new Power Distribution Building (PDB).

The PDB contained all required switchgear, MCCs, and Soft starters, UPS, panel boards, lighting controls, fiber communications along with required PLC and I/O interface hardware.

Bath was responsible for all aspects of the design, procurement, and installation for the 480V Substation. In addition, Bath also provided a plant-wide SKM Model with load flow, coordination, arc flash and short circuit studies.
